About
A file-repair specialist, built over 26 years.
FileRepair.net does one thing, and does it well: getting data back out of files that won't open. We've spent more than 26 years building recovery tooling for hundreds of file formats.
What we do
When a file is corrupt or damaged and the built-in repair tools can't fix it, our engineers recover the data directly — at the file-structure level. Over the years we've built tooling for hundreds of formats: databases, accounting company files, spreadsheets, documents, email stores, backups and more.
How we work
Every engagement starts with a free, no-obligation evaluation. You send us the damaged file; we tell you exactly what can be recovered and give you a fixed quote. If we can't recover your data, there's no charge. No surprises, no hourly meters.
No upgrade, no new software, no exceptions
Recovering a file should never turn into a purchase order. Your data comes back in the same format and version it arrived in, and it opens in the software already installed on your machine — we never require you to buy a newer release, a licence or a subscription to complete a recovery. That holds for formats whose vendors folded years ago and for versions their makers stopped supporting long before you called us; because we work at the file-structure level rather than through the original application, an obsolete version is an ordinary day here rather than a reason to send you shopping.
We are also independent of every software vendor whose formats we repair, so nothing we earn moves if you upgrade. When we tell you a migration is worth doing, or that it isn't, there is no commission sitting behind the advice.
Your data stays confidential
We treat every file as confidential. Files are handled only by our recovery team, used solely to perform the recovery, and we'll sign a non-disclosure agreement on request. Upload links are private and time-limited.
We never ask for remote access to your computer — there is no screen-sharing session and nothing to install. You send a copy and your original never leaves your desk. Once the work is finished your file is held securely for 14 days and then deleted, or immediately if you ask us. It is used to perform your recovery and for no other purpose.
Decades of breadth
